Hi my names Lucas. I suffered from a spinal injury accident on the 14th of December 2011 and was rendered unable to move. After tremendous will power and hard work, a miracle happened and I can now walk again, though I am still on the road to recovery 🙂
As I become the healthiest me, I want you to become the healthiest you.
Full Mind, Spirit, and Body!
Let’s get healthy together!
Write to me, cause I’m waiting to hear from you!
Hey Lucas! Could you send me the links to your videos? For some reason I am just getting ads…
Hey Elise, it was great speaking to you on skype! Let’s catch up again!
I’ve nominated you for the Versatile Blogger Award. Yay! Should you choose to accept, please follow this link: http://meganhasocd.com/2013/03/08/the-versatile-blogger-award/
Best,
Megan
hi Lucas.. I admire your courage and understand what your going through.. Soon after my graduation i signed up for the army (Engg. Corps) but while under training i injured by right leg and after diagnosis was rendered unfit to continue in the Corps.. Jobless & helplessly depressed i spent months on a hospital bed undergoing therapy.. Now I’m much better and cycle to keep myself in shape, the whole experience has evolved my perspective towards life & its uncertainties.. and has re-affirmed my faith in Hope..
Stay Positive, Stay Blessed
Keep Strong
Cheers
Hey Siddhartha, I’m so sorry to heal about your leg. May I please ask what happend? How long did you take to recover? I can definitely relate your feelings and hardship. In is in these times that we grow the most. I battle with depression from time to time, but keep pressing on. I’m so happy to hear you made it and are cycling. I want to one day cycle like you!
Your friend,
Lucas
Megan, Megan 🙂 Thank you so much for nominating me for the Versatile Blogger Award. Obviously you’d win it many times, your amazing! This is my first award and I am so happy to receive it from you 🙂 Yes, I accept 😛
Thank you,
Lucas
Lucas, (In response to your comment on my ‘About’ page)
I want you to know that you have my support with your recovery. I think that the determination that you are showing in your recovery is the exemplification of human resolve. I am proud that you enjoyed reading my posts. Please know that I do and will continue to support you through your process of healing.
In response to your question about ‘talking with people, rather than at them.’ It is important to remember that everyone has strong convictions and often have great reasons for those convictions. To speak with people, you must always give the person as much respect as they deserve, as they will do the same to you. Open up a dialogue with people that believe differently than you do, and always stay open to new ideas.
Your friend,
Dustin
Dustin my man, thank you for the wise and kind words! It is very nice and reassuring that I have you behind me too 🙂 I feel a beautiful friendship growing from this.
I’ll think more into peoples convictions and continue to show them respect 🙂 You’re right about people viewing things differently and opening myself up to them. You are so wise taking philosophy. I took some philosophy when I was in university and it was mind blowing! Great choice! I’m always all ears to hear what you think, because people who study philosophy view the world differently and more open minded 🙂
Thank you, Lucas.
Continue to keep us all up to date with your blog posts.
Hey Lucas. Loving this blog – you’re a trooper!! I survived a life threatening injury myself in my early twenties. So much is mind over matter. Keep us posted with your thoughts and continued recovery. All the best!
Heya, thanks for the words of encouragement 🙂 If you don’t mind me asking, may I ask what happend to you in your twenties? I’m so happy you’re doing better now. How did you over come it?
Hi Lucas,
I was involved in a very serious incident where I was stabbed in the stomach with a hunting knife.
Lots of love and support from family and friends helped with my physical recovery. Mentally, my dreams played a huge role in getting over it- writing them down, analysing them, interacting with them. I also had a near-death experience at the time of the attack, and was given a snapshot of the rest of my life to come. All in all, a pretty life-changing event really!
I wish you all the very best with your recovery, and I admire your positive spirit – makes ALL the difference in getting back to yourself. Keep it up :))
Cheers, Martin
Martin, I’m so sorry to hear that you were stabbed. Sorry to bring it up again too, but can you please teach me how you recovered. What you thought about? The levels of growth you went through? May I ask why you were stabbed? I am still at shock that someone would just stab a nice guy like you.
What a testament of will power your journey is! Thank you for sharing your hope and inspiration with everyone. And please, remember even after you plateau you can still become stronger. Keep us posted on your amazing journey!

You really give hope to many other people Continue to be positive!
I’m so happy that I can give hope to many others. Being positive is a an ever changing state of mind, that I work hard to preserve and share with others 🙂
Hi Lucas – I’ve really been inspired by your story. I’ve never suffered any such kind of injury but I hope that if I ever had to face that kind of adversity that I would have the strength of mind to stay afloat like you have. I’m a terrible insomniac. It’s 4:30 a.m here and I’m up and blogging so I enjoyed reading your blog about the importance of sleep. Ha! I’ll stay tuned and I’ll pray for you to some day soon make a full recovery. Do you mind if I ask what happened to you? Irene
http://woosterorworcester.wordpress.com/
Hey Irene,
Hope your sleep quality has at least improved. I realised it’s important to sleep when your body tell you to sleep and not always when society tell you to sleep, unless you have responsibilities and things to do.
What strategies have you used to help you sleep better?
Your friend,
Lucas

There is courage and resilience in all of us, it just has to be awakened. I wish I didn’t have to learn it this way, but since it happened, only good has come out of it 🙂 Thank you for the support 🙂

Dan 🙂
Thank you so much. I still have a long way to go, and it’s true if I can hardness the ability of my mind, it’s going to get easier. They say 85% of achievers succeed by positive thinking, and only 15% succeed by their own ability!
Lucas 😛
